MONSTER BOXES
As teachers, we believe that our students’ personal development is as important as their academic development, because we see our kids as a whole, not just as students working on Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. That is why, having Values (sometimes combined with Arts & Crafts) as a subject, gives us room to work on amazing activities such as The Monster Box.
Before working on this activity, our students watched Monsters Inc, and reflected upon the idea of fear, of those things that make them feel afraid, insecure, sad, worried and bring up a wide variety of emotions with Miss Naza.
After that, they designed their own Monster Box, where they are going to keep all those feelings that may arise during the day, in order to become aware of the way they are feeling, and find possible outcomes.
It’s been a really deep and interesting activity that showed how well they can express themselves and also understand that everything has a solution and that working together is an extremely enriching experience.
Excellent job, Kids!!!
